Jim Ellen -
Centre Manager Playing for Success, Forest Green Rovers FC.
Jim has had over twelve years teaching experience in both the primary and secondary sector. In addition to his role as Centre Manager he offers consultancy in Study Support provision and manages a portfolio of other projects involving physical activity and healthy living. In addition to this role, Jim is a director for Playing for Success South-West, and is London 2012 representative for the region. He has interests in all subjects though particularly enjoys teaching ICT, Sport and using cutting edge ideas. He is competitive as an all round sportsman and coach and has successfully guided many young people to success on and off the sports field. Jim has the ability to bring the best out of the people he works with and has a positive attitude even in the most difficult of situations. To relax Jim competes in cyclosportives, plays hockey is regularly extended by power kiting and watches 'Heroes'.
Emma Smith -
Centre Tutor
Emma has had over eight years teaching experience in a range of educational settings in the UK and abroad. She has interests in language, reading and cognitive skills and is undertaking further studies at Masters Level in these areas. She has an infectous laugh and a good sense of humour which have made her an instant hit with the students. To relax Emma likes aqua-fit, horse riding and reading a good book.
Alaina Scriven -
Centre Assistant
Alaina is a recent Sports Development graduate with experience of working with children in both schools and club settings. She is a talented sports woman, a Tae Kwon Do World Champion and 1st Degree Black Belt. Alaina leads some of the physical activity sessions, facilitates small group work and gets stuck in with all the activities. When not doing Tae Kwon Do she enjoys recreational swimming and playing badminton.
