Hi and welcome to the Playing for Success home page for Cheltenham Racecourse.
The Playing for Success Centre at Cheltenham Racecourse has been fully open since September 2006. We work closely with our sister Centres at Gloucester Rugby Club and Forest Green Rovers Football Club in Nailsworth to provide innovative learning opportunities across the county.
The Centre is located in the fifth tier of the main grandstand of the prestigious Cheltenham Racecourse which is an integral part of the community. The Racecourse has generously provided a newly refurbished Centre and continues to support PfS.
The Centre delivers a creative, multi sensory programme of Study Support where children and young people get the chance to use the weighing room, ride a mechanical horse, run the last furlong, calculate the seating capacity of the main grandstand, interview top jockeys and trainers, and undertake various ICT activities including video editing and creating web pages! The Centre delivers all this through the medium of sport that combines power, finesses, bravery and skills in both man and horse together as one. The PfS centre at Cheltenham Racecourse provides a unique venue to inspire learning.

GRADUATION CEREMONY 9th July 2009!
Our graduation ceremony for PfS schools this term took place on the 9th July 2009 at 6pm in the Festival suite at Cheltenham Racecourse. We enjoyed sharing the children's success over the last 6 weeks with many parents, families and friends. This term's graduation was a bigger affair than usual, as we welcomed back children from last term for a joint ceremony, with certificates and prizes awarded by our honorary guest, top jockey Vince Slattery.
