Welcome to the newest and coolest addition to the Playing for Success family in the County. Forest Green Rovers Football Club hosts the baby of the three centres in the county – but this baby has teeth and can already walk!!

The Centre only opened its doors to local young people at the end of February 2007 and we have been overwhelmed by the interest from a whole host of groups wanting to use the facilities at the Centre. We have run through the summer term as a pilot period trying out a whole host of activities around the ground and now we are running live! We are now fully booked for much of the 2007-8 academic year on our after-school programme - we do have a few spaces left in the summer term of 2008

The centre is housed in the club’s brand new stadium “The New Lawn” on the second floor of the main stand. It has brand new facilities that would make some of the more established centres be envious of, though still requires some of the finishing touches needed to give the centre its personality.

The Football club has a long established history in the local area and are currently playing their football in the Blue Square Premier. With new and modern facilities the club is looking to cement their status as a Conference team and strive forwards to play league football for the first time its history.

Look out for us this season on Setanta Sports - yes LIVE matches this season will be screened to the comfort of your armchair - so nobody will have the excuse not to know where Forest Green is!

 

Forest Green Rovers Facts The football stadium is called "The New Lawn" The New lawn is the only stadium in the country that will fit the population of the town it is based in it. The stadium is based on the edge of Nailsworth and is surrounded by fields, sheep and geese.
