Cheltenham Town Fooball Club - Double Club.

We have been working with Cheltenham Town Football Club to establish Gloucestershire's first Double Club. A Double Club is a club themed classroom in school where children and young people take part in a themed lesson focusing on numeracy and literacy, and they receive football coaching from a qualified FA coach. To find out more about double clubs or get a double club in your school call Jonathan Taylor on 01452 425572 or e-mail jonathan.taylor@gloucestershire.gov.uk

Cheltenham Racecourse PfS – Partnership with Pupil Referral Service

Since September 2006 we have been working with the Pupil Referral Service to provide an educational experience to help children excluded form mainstream education get back into local schools.

Cheltenham Racecourse PfS- Centre Pals with Yeovil Town FC.

PfS at Cheltenham Racecourse has teamed up with Yeovil Town FC under the Centre Pals initiative led by PfS South West.  Our aim is to strengthen links between Centres and help pupils understand life in different areas.  We are really looking forward to working with Yeovil Town FC and writing podcasts about what goes on at each others centres!

PfS Transitions

We have been working closely with Lakers School in the Forest of Dean to provide study support provision in this part of the county. The project operates similarly to the centre at Gloucester Rugby Club, however the centre is based in a secondary school and all the students are recruited via the local primary schools. The aim of the programme is to ensure a smooth transition from year 6 into year 7.
